Download OpenArena | Better Than Quake III Arena?

OpenArena is based on Quake III Arena and so it is often compared to Q3A. Is OpenArena better than Quake III Arena? Most reviews on OpenArena claim that the game is in fact better, although most agree that the graphics are horrible. I haven't played much Quake III Arena so it's hard for me to give an honest opinion, but I do think OpenArena is a great game.

There are many free games with outstanding graphics and OpenArena is not one of them. But still, OpenArena is a fantastic game and extremely fun to play. The poor graphics honestly don't ruin this game, at least not for me, and I'm usually picky on the games I play (I have a preference for games with high quality graphics). This game is fun though, very fast-paced and straight to the point shoot em' up fun. Free For All and Deathmatch are what make the game appealing to me, and if you prefer these games as well then you will probably like OpenArena.

There are quite a few game modes to choose from, such as Free For All, Domination, Capture The Flag, Harvester, Overload and couple more. You can play with bots as well, the game will refer to them as simulated players and they can make death-matches more balanced if you lack an even amount of players. Plus, the simulated players are easier to kill and make the game more exciting if you want to go on a killing spree.

Absolute Force Online Review

Choose between two mercenary corps, the Rotten Angels or the Hands of Justice, and then customize the heck out of your character. Absolute Force Online, or AFO, is a free FPS game created by TQ Digital. The game was built on the Unreal 3 Engine, so the graphics are simply amazing! For a free game, you couldn't ask for a better and more intense gaming experience. The graphics are easy on the eyes and the colors are crystal clear, and if you have a good video card you will notice right away. MechWarrior Online: A Tactical Mech-Based FPS Game

MechWarrior Online is a tactical shooter featuring vehicular combat at a much slower pace than most shooters launched within the past 10 years. It's a free-to-play game on Steam where players fight in massive robot suits. The free-to-play shooter features a variety of extraterrestrial maps, where players will also have to watch out for extreme temperatures and other environmental hazards. It's much different than other games of this genre.. Maps in MechWarrior Online are fairly large, and it will be dangerous for you to travel throughout the maps aimlessly.
